Off day!

Today was my off day. I woke up at 11am, had my breakfast and went to my workplace for the meeting on our Gala night. We had an hour plus of discussion on the evening event and now at least I have a better idea on what I am supposed to do on that night.
At around 230pm, I went back to the ward for our ward meeting. Boss seems to be very tired and seems to be occupied with many unfinish work. I dont know, that is what I feel..........
After the ward meeting, I went Bugis to meet Nathan and Cecilia. We had tea at TCC. WAHhhhh nowadays drinking tea is very expensive......... at about 5plus, Nathan went off to meet Alvin, while Cecilia went home and I met Silly boy in Bugis.
We shopped for his dad's birthday present, then we went cold storage to buy a packet of nachos and dip, my favourite tomato juice, his favourite green tea and biscuits. We then proceed to Fish & Co. for dinner.

His favourite smoked salmon and my favourite garlic, butter and lemon dip sauce with bread.

Corainder dory with rice (without vegetables, more rice!) for him and seafood platter for me. They gave me so many calamari until the two of us cannot finish. Its TOOOOOO many!
Thank you, Nathan for the presents for me and Silly boy. He said want to msn you and said "thank you" heeeeeee

Night shift over...

Yesterday had a great dinner before going to work. Sambal potato leaves, steam sea prawns with XO, tilapia with bean sauce and garlic and "ABC soup"........

Work was occupied but we didnt admit any patients! *PHEW* Passed to the morning staff and I thought they should also be occupy coz there are a few quite unstable patients. True enough, they were very busy this morning. According to Mirana, they sent one IABP patient down to the lab because suspected acute MI again. Followed by 2 patients collapsed ~ 1 intubated and the other 1 died. That was not all, another long term patient who has been there for a month also died! WOW, really busy like hell like what Mirana said.

After her work, we met to buy dress. Went to Caroline's shop again and indeed more stock today. We both bought a dress for the gala night ;) *happy*

Wedding Banquet

Was trying to book my wedding banquet because everyone seems to do it one year before. To my surprise, many were full on the date I wanted! (OCT LEH) There were a couple of the super extremely grand one still available but I think the price is tooooooooo costly. One table cost $1688- $1888 and I dont like the menu at all. They served herbal chicken and abalone mushrooms (and not abalone)! Not worth it at all and I ever tried that hotel, I dont like it.
Actually I dont have any "dream wedding" in mind. I just want something worth it and presentable. Oh and most importantly the function hall must not be block by pillar.
So difficult meh?!?!?!

First night

Last night was my first night with Belinda, Renu and Pui Ching and was on with our "fluid challenge" registrar! HE lOVES to challenge patients with fluid and last night he challenged one patient with 4 litres of fluid... #%$&*%#(^(#

While writing report, I overheard Pui Ching's conversion with Renu. I heard "Chee Cheong Fun" hahahaha I dont know whether they were talking about the registrar (his nickname) or about the food. Anyway, I craved for the food after I heard that.

I usually dont take breakfast after night but this morning I felt so much like having "chee cheong fun" and "bao"! I went all the way to buy the famous "bao" near by neighbourhood and get myself two "chee cheong fun" heeeeee I like it without sauce, just plain oil and soya sauce! That's very nice.

#$%#^$&^$&$ dont know what's wrong, cannot upload pictures #$%#%^$%&^$^

OFF DAY!

Yesterday morning was quite all right! Finally completed my 11 days of shift work!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait to go out to "celebrate" with a good meal!
We had thai food as usual coz that is our favourite! YUMMY!

Silly boy had Phat thai and I had beef noodles. His looks blend because he requested no vegetables! (he dont like spring onions and the uncooked bean sprouts)... However it is still very delicious!

We ordered two sides, one is his favourite prawn cakes and the other one is mine favourite, HOT AND SPICY steamed seabass! I wish to finish up the broth but it was too spicy! YUMMMMY!

Oh yeah, Nathan is coming back home soon! WELCOME HOME! ;)

A better morning....

We were less busy this morning though we were full house. We were a little occupied at times but at least much better than the past few days!
After work, Mirana, Ivy and Regine went to Caroline's shop to have a look at the dresses. We tried some dresses and will go back next Wed to look at the new stock. Wanted to upload the pictures but think the size was too big hence failed to upload :(
After that we went Suntec to meet Allen, Huiling and Jasmine for dinner at Kushinbu. Everyone was so hungry and ate at least 3 big plates of food plus a plate of desserts. I think I ate more hahahaha....
The cold noodles are still the best! I ate 3 bowls.

These dolls are cute. I would like to have one if it is not too expensive :)

BZ.....

We were very busy since yesterday afternoon. We took over 3 patients and admitted 2 acute and 1 BIPAP. One patient collapsed from other station, we thought she was coming in but she died.
The night shift took over and took in 2 intubated.
This morning we took over full house and were busy with those patients. Besides the routines, the patients needs a lot of care and attention. As we were about to settle, one of the patient threw VT. We pushed in the E-cart and cardioverted the patient, fortunately reverted back to SR.
Half an hour later, another patient collapsed. We resuscitated the patient but lastly the patient died. It was already 12 plus by then. One of my patient has no lines, all her plug were inflammed. I have to wait for doctors to set a CVP for her. She was very sick as well.
Finally the pm staff came, we thought we were able to take a short break BUT... after we cleared the deceased patient, another patient from outside needs to come in for intubation!
SIGH....
We struggled till 315pm and we dragged our feet and left the ward. Ivy sent me an sms mentioned that the ICU was like mad house, they admitted 1 acute and 2 intubated!
8 beds and we can take so many patients.......

After I get home, I saw dad hanged some chicken wings near the window hahaha he said he wanted to fried chicken wings for us to eat. He said he marinated it but must blow dry then it will be nice. Uhmmmm.....
We had cockles before dinner heheeeeeee
In the end, mum fried the chicken wings coz dad too lazy!

YUMMMMMMMY..... Very crispy! Silly boy loves it!

Stirred fried "sheng yu" with brocolli and Yong tau fu with black beans!

Favourite soup! So nice!............
It feels so good to have a good meal after a tiring day!

Food and beverage fair at Suntec

FINALLY I WAS THERE!

I know it will be crowded on Saturday but for the sake of FOOD I dont mind heeeeee there are many stalls selling food like crabs, lobster, Japanese food, Sichuan food, Taiwan food, Dim sum, roast duck/meat/chicken, satay, laksa, drinks, tea, fruit juices..... many more!

The first thing that I had was oysters mee sua ($2.50) then I queued for a teriyaki scallops ($3) while Silly boy went to get a bowl of sharks fin soup ($2).
We bought a cup of passion fruit drink ($1.50) eeeee too sweet!

Next we had a bowl of laksa with cockles ($3) and 4 curry fishballs ($1.50) ;)
Finally I found my favourite cheese sausages! 8 assorted sausages for $3 ~ satay, cheese, black pepper and red... red dont know what sausages hahhaa (I only know how to eat!), I bought a packet of cheese sausage home.
After all these, Silly boy stopped eating, he said he was full. (I guess he dont like the crowd that's why no mood to eat) He bought 3 packet of fruit juice home because it was on promotion 3 for $4.50. That's his favourite.
Me not even half full, so I continued to eat!

I continued with big fried honey chicken filet ($4) ... and the following

Squid ($2) and some kind of clams ($2 x4pcs)

I have been looking for this ~ radish.
This stall actually selling meatball soup with radish in it but I requested only radish. It was supposed to be $3.50 but she charged me $2 hehhehehehehehe *HAPPY*!
Uhmm I was "almost there" after all of the above, finally ended with a bottle of honey lemon drink! *CONTENTED* (but not exactly full, only almost there ahhahahaha)
Oh, bought one mango with glutinous rice home ;)

Kuishin- bo

I always like to go to the food and beverage fair so I made up my mind I have to go no matter how heavy rain and how tired I am!

In the end, I was extremely hungry because of the traffic congestion along the way to Suntec! At that point of time, I just feel like having buffet~ so that I can eat a lot a lot a lot and a lot!!!!! Therefore, I didnt stick on to my usual plan which is walk around the fair and buy whatever I feel like eating till I get bloated instead I went to Kuishin-bo.

The "smoked beef" sushi and the cold noodle is my favourite! The seafood are fresh!

Too hungry to take a lot of pictures but everything taste good. Yesterday was ladies night therefore it cost only $28.80 for ladies and $33.80 for men ;) we spent about $73. Great dinner!
