2 patients...

Only 3 of us, Lee lian, Alice and myself managed the ICU this morning. We had only 2 patients the entire morning but my patient was rather sick. Initially CVP was inserted then railroad to Swan Ganz. Did swan ganz at the bedside then pushed patient in to fluroscopy room for confirmation of placement. After swan, inserted vascular catheter, then followed by arterial line. All the lines were attempted at least twice or more because patient's skin is very thick (according to "someone"). Haha... Oh then patient was referred to endocrine, hemato, renal and GS, so many replies to note and so many bloods to take! My colleagues helped me a lot with my patient changes, thanks to them!

Very happy to see Nathan and the other afternoon staff. So tired... Before I left, I took a picture with Nathan, her nose was allergic again and she wanted to use my towel to clean her nose! Dirty Nathan! Look at me, I looked so sleepy, so pale.... oh then I broke the clip that was used to hook my name tag! So sad because its from Nathan :( I took a picture of it before I threw it away... Farewell little clip! Sob Sob.....

About today...

Had an "unusual" breakfast this morning at work (which means we got food from outside). Well, I am not supposed to tell how we get it but we really enjoyed the breakfast very much. (though it was ordinary food like cai tao kway, zui kway, chu chang fen, congee and .... the peanut kway that I dont know what is it call)









We maintained one patient from the start to the end of the shift! We sent the one and only patient out in the afternoon, uhmm forgotten to ask Nathan the total in our ICU, think they keep it as zero.
I met Nathan just now at drinkerz as well as Ivan and friends. We drank about 5 jugs and tonight was extremely crowded. Nathan and Ivan was complaining that they were feeling very warm but I was all right with the temperature. :)
Met James, and James hahaha there were two James and then some other regulars. I have fun and I enjoyed!

Pictures at work...

Started with 2 patients in the beginning then at about 145pm, we took in one patient for cardioversion but procedure failed so we sent him back to the ward. We packed one conservative patient at 445pm, family members are sad, so are we... Around 5plus, our registrar sent in one patient for adjustment of pacing wire, it was uneventful. The trained staff who sent the patient in dont seems to know anything. Asked so many funny questions! (rolled eyes.....)


Our registrar bought us dinner this evening, we had our dinner after the pacing (Pork ribs, fried eggs, fried chicken, kangkong and beancurd).

Work :( .... Supper :)

Work pm shift today with Nathan, Alice and Lee lian. We sent out most of the patients and end of the day, we left with only 2... actually 1 patient because the other 1 is dying when we were about to leave.
I took some pictures at work and then I realised that my handphone can actually edit them by adding frames, clip arts etc etc... here are the pictures, I quite like them! Look at Nathan, cant stop eating!... Ok me just cant stop taking pictures! :)
I brought Nathan to my favourite BBQ chicken wings stall near my place. I ordered otar and satay as well, yummy it was so delicious! Elaine like it too! Later came Sitilok because he wanted to try out the "VERY NICE" BBQ chicken wings that I always mention! Ehhhh Sitilok, best in south east asia hor????!!!!
Ate too much, especially Nathan, she has been eating since we started work! Eh Nathan, how to sleep like that? SO FULLLLLLLL!

Today...

Was on morning duty again, nothing eventful. Nothing about work.....

I met Nathan after work to Cecilia's (my cousin) place. While they were discussing about policies and plans, I was busy playing with Genevieve, Theodore and Weize! Look at the cute little son and daughter of my cousins..... wanted to pinch them on their cheeks but I cant do that! Hehehe so I KISS THEM, KISS THEM & KISS THEM!
We planned to go MOS tonight, but it was called off, somehow its ruin by me I guess! Uhmmmm my parents lor, asked me to go home EARLY tonight! Yeah, indeed very early, I reached home about 920pm and DO NOTHING... ok, at least I get to blog.
Sorry girls, but we still have next Wednesday ladies night right??!?!?!! Let's look forward to next Wednesday!

Let me recall where have I been and what have I done yesterday... Got really poor memory recently...
WORK
Went to work in the morning, well, I supposed nothing special because I dont remember a single event! I think I packed one patient... or is it yesterday??? Doesn't matter, it's not
important.


Dinner at Suki Sushi
I went off duty at 3plus and went home to nap. I met Nathan and Alvin for dinner at Suki sushi at Hougang plaza. We had buffet and spent $68 for the 3 of us. As usual they just "bae tahan" me kept taking pictures of myself (I took pictures of them as well lah!)! Hehehehehe Alvin said he has got "wave-shaped lips" hahahhahaha

Drinkerz inn
Went to our usual chill out place, it was crowded only towards the end. Met the usual regulars and one/two weirdo as well! Look at me and Nathan, are we cute???

Eugene's bike
Received a sms from Eugene at about 11plus and we met to go riding on his bike! Yeah, his "wife" just came back home from the workshop! I dont know what he did to it because he said eventhough he explains to me I wont be able to understand. Actually quite true! Hehe... Look at that, it's cool! VROOOOOOOOM VROOOOOOOOOM!!!!! HAhahahahaha I had fun! ;)

Bad day...but great supper!

Started off badly at work. Patients were either intubated, on dialysis or on BIPAP... One of my friend's father is also in my ICU!
Started with an irritating call that I received. This Dr was so unreasonable, in the end he even commented that I was unhelpful. Say what he wants, he took down my name but I dont care!
After the call, my patient collapsed.... usual stuff... CPR... DC shock.... Drugs.... He died... before I can finish my report, my other patient's BP dropped... GOSH.... I looked at the time- 2005hrs.... Please let me go home on time... fortunately, patient was ok after a while, phew! He is not doing too well though, no spontaneous breathing anymore, platelets dropped, HR increase.... I must thank my colleagues, they helped me a lot today! Thanks! (Koh, Mirana and Lee lian)
Finally it was 2130hrs and I went showered and get ready to meet Nathan, Walla, Sitilok, Sitilok's sister and brother in law! I ate my DINNER at around 2220hrs! I had a plate of Cha Kway Teow then we shared cockles and oyster omelette! BURP! I am very full now.......
Can I have a better tomorrow?

Supper again!

Just came back from supper with Eugene. Actually didnt want to go out tonight because its the first day of the 7th month (after 12MN)!!! Heehehee... but ... I was hungry so I went to the S-11 nearby to have my favourite BBQ chicken wings! Oh then Eugene ordered fishballs (AGAIN! Yeah last night I just ate fishball noodles!) and fish cake. He got his "unique" way of eating the fishballs and hahahahhahaha the way he did it was so funny! Anyway.... I enjoyed the supper with JayEugene. Yeah, he speaks like Jay Chow, or maybe there's something wrong with my ears that I always need to ask him to repeat! Ok, he will read this, I better stop.
Took a picture of his "wife" but it was too dark (sorry dude, I know its still blur but I have done my best to edit the picture! Better than nothing right?!) then he is getting his "2nd wife" from the workshop tomorrow. Shall take a picture of his "2nd wife" to compare with the first one see which is more "CHIO"! Hehehehehe........

23th July at drinkerz

Sunday, I thought that it will be quite crowded at drinkerz. However.... uhmmm ok not to comment otherwise Kevin will kill me... not too bad towards the end. I reached about 9pm while Nathan, Walla and Sitilok came around 940pm. Walla and Sitilok left early, Nathan and me stayed till 1am. I never have dinner and was so hungry! Nathan didnt want to eat so I sent her back and went supper with Kevin. Kevin brought me to Joo Seng for "Bah chor mee" (minced meat noodle), I gobbled up the noodles and asked myself how come I dont see any "bah chor"? Instead there were fishballs and lots of SHALLOTs and I hate shallots..... I asked Kevin "How come "bah chor mee" got fishball one? Then no "bah chor"? The drunk Kevin said "THIS is fishball noodles mah!!!" UHHHHHHHHH I thought he wanted to bring me to try out the "Bah chor mee"?????!!!!!?!??! So disappointed.... the fishball mee with lots of shallots is not nice lor... I "washed" the noodles with soup because I simply dont like the shallots.......... :( Kevin was laughing at me but I think its his fault! HUMPH! I am hungry now.... I want "Bah chor mee"!

LAst NiGht!

Finally finished my last night this morning! I had a really peaceful one, maintained two patients throughout the shift! Thanks to the registrar on call..... thanks to Alice and Belinda (our combination and luck was not too bad after all!) .....
However the night was rather draggy, the time was like crawling... Sigh, what do I want? When its too occupied I will complain, and when its too free I also complain... !!!!!!!
Yeah! Meeting Nathan tonight after she off duty!!!!!!! YEAH...!!!!!!

3rd night...

We admitted one acute patient and subsequently the night was quite peaceful. Belinda, Alice and me ate quite a lot, we finished up the food that I cooked (stir fried ginger/ spring onions pork, fried bee hoon, stir fried vegetables with clams, Fuyong eggs and some fried stuff!) then followed by some crackers bought by Belinda. Our registrar said that the "butterfly cookies" (the picture on the right) was his childhood tibits! Hehe... then later towards the morning, both of them ate a quarter of a spring chicken and me HALF of it! GREEDY ME (as usual)! I was very full, BURP!
Will be meeting Nathan, Walla and Sitilok tonight for my favourite BBQ chicken wings at Chomp Chomp! YUMMY YUMMY! I have been eating so much recently, so guilty!
YEAH, tonight will be my LAST NIGHT! I can go out to have fun tomorrow and Monday!!!!!!
