Whole day of shopping and eating

I met Regine for buffet lunch at Orchid Copthorne. They served mainly the local food which are chicken rice, braised mutton/ beef, fried mee swa, curry chicken, assam fish, sambal prawns, roast duck, stirred fried vegetables, cold dishes and desserts. It cost originally $27 per person however we had it free using my membership benefits. We spent almost 3 hours on the buffet lunch. The food is no doubt nice but frankly speaking, I will not spend $27 on lunch for local cuisine.
The xmas lights in MS
After lunch we drove over to Marina Square. I chose a voodoo for "protection" and Regine paid for it as a gift for me! This is my second one the other one in my car is a small one called "ah wang". She bought a small little one for herself as well, hers is named as "hamburglar" (its to absorb the fats and calories that she eats HAHAHAAHHAAHAHHA)!

We shopped from 4pm till 7pm and we were tired but not hungry. We decided not to have dinner but DESSERT! We went Swensen and ordered something very sinful! SO MUCH SINFUL than having a meal! GOSH!
We saw the staff in Swensens wearing T-shirts of "Happy Feet", there are also ice cream cakes on "Happy Feet" and everything around us is about "Happy Feet"! Its cute, I like it!

Cant wait to watch it! Aaron's "son" is also handsome uh ;)

Aaron Kwok~

Aaron Kwok won best actor with "After This Our Exile", this is the second consecutive Golden Horse award.

"After This Our Exile" also won the Best Movie.

Yesterday newspapers published photos of half-nude celebrities in a pictorial book by Leslie Kee, whose goal is to raise fund for victims of the Tsunami. Originally, the picture was taken for the Physical advertisement, Aaron wears a sarong which well covered his lower body parts. Yet, the picture published in the pictorial book is altered by computer effects to show him revealing excessively with only a denim covering the private part. Siu May (Aaron's manager) has been trying to reach Leslie Kee to discuss this matter but couldn’t
find him. Legal actions are possible.

Movie marathon

Today Sitilok and I went for "movie marathon"! Nah...not organised by any organisation but we planned it yesterday. We wanted to watch 3 movies but ended up only 2 which are Casino Royale (he wanted to watch) and Happy Feet (I wanted to watch). Casino Royale shown at 310pm and Happy Feet at 640pm. Happy Feet ended around 830pm then we rushed to get tickets for "Step up" which starts at 850pm but it was sold out.
People might think that we are crazy watching movies on Sunday when tickets are so expensive uh heeeee no lah of course will not pay to watch so many in a day! We both have Maybank credit card, so we can use our points to watch any movies at Cineleisure. Though I dont really like to watch movies but I dont mind when it is free since I dont use the stored points for any other things heeeeeeeeee

The one that Sitilok chose almost made me fall asleep! He dont like it too and almost wanted to walk out of the movie to buy tickets for the next show. He rated it 5/10 while me gave only 4/10 because ... errr I just dont like lah. The one I chose of course is better but in these animation movies, we more or less able to guess what's going to happen next. Anyway we rated it 6/10, not too bad!
Dinner was at chomp chomp and we went home around 10pm. Everyone got to work tomorrow but I am on leave! Heeeeeee almost 12 days of leave and tomorrow is considered the 3rd day. Great! Got to spend it "wisely"!

Training part 2 + good and bad day

Yesterday was the last day of the "assertiveness skills" training. More skills were taught to handle different difficult situations however these skills needs a lot of practice. The trainer continued with the story of "men and women" again, remembered I blogged earlier "why women talk more than men". She mentioned yesterday:
Men~ supress their feelings. Remember in ancient times they are the hunters, they have to hunt for food for themselves and the family so they have to supress their feelings to kill animals.
Women~ they stay in the cave to look after babies right, hence they are the high feelings people, they are the "response" kind of person and their speech often tied with feelings.
HENCE women like to say to their husband/ boyfriend "I FEEL you dont love me!!!"
While men will always answer "Cant you SEE that I .....". Men are more VISUAL (hunters mah), That explains why in general they are better drivers. They "SEE" and see far (but not near! They cant see things that is right in front of them! Heeeee)
Additionally, women like to talk/express right (men see it as grumble), actually they just want the men to listen to them but the men are more to problem solving. They will plan for solution so that women will stop talking about it.
Heeee another interesting day at the training centre.

The plucked eyebrows
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Lunch time, Mirana dragged me to pluck eyebrows!!!! WAHHH painful lah! I concluded women generally spent much more than men, they must spend money on pedicure/manicure, go salon and even to pluck eyebrow!!! GOSH!
Generally the whole day was good until evening. I bought a digital camera then received a news that upset me :( ... then I was like wanted to loiter around since nothing to do and was so upset so wanted to spend money to make myself feel better. However no mood to shop then wanted to look for a toilet, the toilets were either under renovation or else was too crowded! I got frustrated so I wanted to take a bus home, when I reached the bus stop, there is no bus to my destination. I got more frustrated and decided to take a cab. Guess what???? Yeah massive jam. The fare was actually only 7plus but added ERP $1.50 and peak surcharge $2! Its almost more expensive than driving on my own! The taxi driver insisted that the ERP shouldnt be $1.50 I told him I saw $1.50, he printed the slip and asked me to take a second look because he cant see the small numbers. I told him its truly $1.50. He smiled at me and said "Didnt know they still charge so much during school holidays, anyway you are very honest!" Heeeeee a little compliment from him made me feel so much better and forgotten about my bad day!!! Thanks "uncle"! My new camera

*******************************************************

I sms Nathan and told her about my day. She suggested we meet for dinner. We went drinkerz instead and ordered the "best in south east asia" chicken wings. Ordered 6 pieces wings and enjoyed with a jug of beer. Later came Sitilok and ordered another 6 pieces of wings and open up my Macallian. We finished everything and a total of 2 jugs of beer. Alvin came later and Nathan drove his car back while he stayed. Nathan got to work morning today but its okay tonight we shall enjoy okie!
Tonight we are going clubbing after the wedding dinner! YEAH!!!!!!!

The training today

I am on 2 days training course starting from today. It is called the "assertiveness course" ~ learn how to be assertive. The course covers a lot of other topics like how to be an active learner, how not to be aggressive and yet assertive, not to be submissive..... a lot lah... I did a test and I am the "assertive with aggressive" type of person, which means somehow I solve problems using the aggressive way! Heeee
Surprisingly I was very attentive throughout the course eventhough I took flu medication last night. I find the trainer very entertaining, the experiences that she shared and the things that she taught was interesting and I was awake throughout. She mentioned to the class this:
One study showed a woman talks 40,000 words per day while a man talks only 7000 words per day. Those married women will spent 16,000 to nag on thier children/ maid/ or pets and will still left 24,000 to nag on the husband! Hahahaahahahaha
Why do women talk more than men?
~ Coz in ancient time, men's job is to hunt, so they dont talk much and they shouldnt talk while they are hunting. Therefore naturally men dont talk much.
~ While women are to stay in the cave to look/observe and talk to the baby. Hence women are more observant in nature additionally the baby actually learn talking through the mother. If a mother do not start talking to the baby, the baby will be mute (the classical example is "TARZEN"!!!) So which means women have to talk more otherwise the baby will not start talking!!!! Heee
I find it interesting ;) People actually study how many words a person could speak per day!

After the training, I rushed back to my place. I had an appointment with my hairstylist Timothy. He asked me whether I wanted to cut my hair short, I told him I am adventurous to try anything but I have a wedding dinner this Saturday so not too short. He did something "interesting" to my hair hahahaha from the side it looks short but the back is long. He told me "Now its a combination, long and short hair!" Heeeeee Timothy was very patient throughout the 3 hours, he cut my hair, washed, highlighted, cut again, style.... and he was the last one to leave the salon. I felt so bad but he assured me that he is used to it. Anyway "THANK YOU Timothy" I like my new hairstyle!

These few days...

Have not been blogging these few days because I was at drinkerz for the past few nights. Well, about these few days..... uhmmm hardly remember details but bits and pieces here and there. There are some pictures to help me out though....

Thursday 16th Nov: At work

Jasmine refused to take picture!!!!! But I love to heeeeeee

Bel came back on day shift for a few days. She is being forced to tie up her very short hair heeeee

Friday 17th Nov: Dinner at Aqua Marine at Marina Mandarin ($60 per pax)

Our BIG ROUND table!

The seafood are very fresh. There are grilled big scallops and prawns, oysters, crayfish, crabs.... there is a Japanese bar counter that serves sashimi and other Japanese cuisine, then a cooked food counter (vegetables, beef, baked crayfish, stir fried scallops etc), a small dim sum counter, local food counter (oyster omelette, prawn mee etc) , desserts counter.... there are too many food for us to try out! Its a pity that I was not very hungry so I didnt manage to try out everything but ate quite a bit of scallops!

Saturday 18th Nov: At work

Only one patient throughout the shift, very SHIOK!
Uhmmmm Bala needs some rest already, eeeee I looked so haggard!!!!!!!!

Sigh.... rest what!? End of the shift I went drinkerz again but its just for the BBQ wings! Heeeee I miss that! YUMMY.......... (Bala is such a glutton!)

Sunday 19th Nov: Fish and Co.

Dinner at Fish and Co. the seafood soup was so nice but the food at this particular outlet was not up to standard. I prefer the one at Centrepoint, its so much nicer!
Bala... go home rest lah, look at yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I am tired and sleepy now........................ Sweet dreams!
