M hotel - July's special

Last night dinner was at M hotel with Regina and Patricia. The promotion for this month are seafood soup and lobster balls. There were fresh scallops, sliced top shells (taste like abalone) and a different type of fresh fish instead of the usual fresh pomfret. We all love the sliced fresh fish and chicken, all in all, we had a satisfied dinner.
I wonder what will be the August's promotion......

Love story

Nurses' day is around the corner and Choon Chai was being interviewed by the press of his love story with Meili heeeeeee a very sweet love story together with their loving picture was published in the Sunday Times today..... heeeee they both become the "stars" instantly!
Today I also received my Nurses' day present in advance heeeee the Anna Sui perfume that I have been eyeing for some time! ;)

What a nice evening!

My third afternoon shift today but this evening was great as compared to yesterday! Ended our whift with 2 patients. We ordered dinner from Xin Hai Shan because Jasmine was craving for potato leaves. We ordered other dishes like "xia jiang chicken" and prawn omelette, I had fish bee hoon soup as well. Feeling so full now! BURP!
Tomorrow morning will on with the same staff (Allen, Jasmine and Alice)..... Hope will be as peaceful as today k ;)

Crazy evening shift!

Thursday evening ended with 0 patient and the night staff maintained the 0 total. Yesterday morning also started with 0 patients but someone told the morning staff to take in all the non ICU cases to fill up the beds. Unfortunately after they took in 4 non ICU cases, another 4 patients needed to admit to the ICU.
Before I went to work, I thought it would be 0 or maybe 1-2 patients however to my surprised, every bed was filled/ taken up.
- 4 non ICU cases, 3 procedures done (room 14, 17, 18), 1 (room 15) waiting to go to the lab
- only 1 geninue ICU case in room 21 in the beginning followed by,
- 1 intubated patient came at 1320hrs (room 19)
- after handed over shift, 1 patient from the lab turned bad hence sent to us (room 16) at 1430hr, shortly she collapsed. We spent about 2-3 hours to resus her, paced her in the pacing room, tidied her, started many drugs for her........
- meanwhile the rest of us sent out room 14, 18 (because we were FULL) to get ready for another 2 acute patients!!!!!! (crazy right!)
- Room 20 was an empty room in the beginning for 1 acute patient (total 3 acute!!!!) but before that patient arrive, we needed another bed for cardioversion so we decked room 20 with ANOTHER patient for cardioversion. The bed situation was bad and we were really busy.
- We have to fetch patients from the lab, do all the paper work, settled the patients...... tons of work for us to do!
The transfering and taking in of patients are very hectic. I dont know how we manage to work through the whole evening but really have to thank the morning staff for staying back to help us till almost 4pm.

Dinner

Had late dinner after work yesterday at "Happy pay steamboat restaurant/ Tian Tian steamboat". I have been craving for mala steamboat for quite some time but cant think of any place to have it. This restaurant used to be very nice but then yesterday was quite a disappointment. The soup base was not as delicious as last time, the varities were not a lot too but fortunately the ingredients were fresh. Overall was only average and it cost $51 for two person.
M hotel is still so much better! YEah lah cannot compare, that is a hotel and this is a restaurant.

Yesteray and today

Last night dinner was at noble house with Calvin, Nathan and Regine. Yummy! Very nice and shiok! Heeeee........ This morning found the dent on my car was gone. My pa has fixed it! Uhmmm got to pay him already heeeeee

Evening time went to look for my little darling, Genevieve. She calls herself "V" heee cute little baby!

A patient passed away

Upon taking over shift, there was a 52 year old patient collapsed from clinic and was sent to the ICU. The team who sent the patient in were actively resusitating the patient however the patient couldnt make it. A group of his female relatives were weeping sadly in the ICU. Its really quite sad because it was a sudden death. When I told the family that the morturary team was on the way, the wife told the daughter "Girl, they are going to take pa pa away ok?"... I felt sad for them.
There was another patient not doing well in the next room. This patient has a group of "inconsiderate family members". Crowd along our passageway despite told them thousand times not to do so as we have resus going on. They even fed the intubated patient with water even after we warned them the risk. Almost ten relatives in the room each time and the same person going in and out of the ICU! SIGH! Make our life really difficult!
It was a tiring shift but able to finish our work on time......... SLEEPY...... SIEN!

These few days

I have been working for the past few days. Patients remain the same as they are chronic intubated patients and most of them are "infectious" in some way. To prevent myself from falling sick, I decided to wear the N95!

Yesterday I had ayam penyek for dinner. This morning...... I HAD AYAM PENYEK AGAIN! Yummy! ;)

Sigh... Look at my poor car. Tomorrow I am going to my insurance agent for advise. Well, whatever it is, I still have to fix it soon because it looks really "awful"!!!!!!

Boot dented

The boot of my car was dented. Yeah, banged by another car and I supposed it was during reverse. I realised it when I reached my work place this afternoon. I saw a used carpark coupon on my back wiper indicated a car plate number and time. I thought, well, could be the fellow really honest or can be a witness who left me the note. Anyway, quite bad shape uh...... never mind lah, I know it can be fix coz the first dent that I created was fixed by my dad heeeeee
Shall track the person down tomorrow! Should take a clearer picture during the day too!
My poor car......... :(

On with Jasmine, Marilyn and Wati this afternoon. Initially was a little occupied but very soon everything was settled. We did not admit any patients during our shift.
Dont know how come I feel very lethargic nowadays, like always not enough sleep eventhough I go to bed early. Maybe age is catching up!
YAWN...... better go to bed! NITEZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

Lishan's pre birthday celebration

Today went out to celebrate my cousin ~ Lishan's birthday. 5 of us had dinner at Orchard Sakura, lots of varieties but I was not very hungry so I didnt eat a lot.

After dinner was chilled out at "Balcony"...........

Teddy in the car

Goofy, Mumble and Little pink miffy! Yeah, they are the teddy in my car! So cute, I love them!

Today is my off day, so I just did mask at home! Hahahaha..... my face become "SHINY" after the mask but the dark circles (post night shift effect???? Neh, it has always been there!) are obvious!
