My life is about food...

Yesterday after ward meeting, Regine, Alice, Huiling and myself went shopping at City hall then we went Suntec for dinner.
Crystal Jade....
All of us are rather big eater hahahaha besides our own "main course", we ordered additional congee and salad prawns.

Huiling had roasted duck noodle soup and Regine cantonese "fried sauce" dry mee.
I had sliced beef dry mee and Alice had wanton mee soup. Dont understand how come dry mee have to pay additional $1 more. Is it because the sauce is expensive???? What about soup? Soup not expensive meh?!?

They looked happy and satisfied but actually I wasnt full! HAhahahahaha
After dinner we RUSHED to work! Me, Alice and Regine took MRT back to Outram and intended to take a taxi to go up to our block BUT no taxi! *SHIT* No choice but we have to walk really fast up the slope because we were running late!
Heeeee we reached the ward at 2058hrs.....
After a short while, I was feeling hungry. I opened up a packet of Lays and start munching. I also went down to get my favourite mee goreng! At 2330hrs I had the cup noodles and a quarter of honey roasted chicken which we bought from Careforre earlier. YUMMY!
Most importantly......WE HAD A PEACEFUL NIGHT ;)
This morning pa came to fetch me and we went Tiong Bahru to have congee and raw fish! YUMMMMMMMMMY! I always love raw fish! Taste so good!

I went Tiong Bahru Market to buy ingredients for cooking tonight. It was my first time there and I find the meats and vegetables are very fresh. There are many variety of vegetables and I bought two zucchini for only $3!!!!!!! Will definately go back there again!

Dinner at Carnivore

The same concept as the one in US (Chima) that I had, the "yes" and "no" concept however it's "useless" over here. Though it was flipped to "NO" they still come around to ask "You want pork?", "Some more beef?".... a bit disturbing.
There is a salad bar, not as much variety as the one in US but not too bad though.

Fish and chicken heart!!!!!! Besides the usual meat like sausages, ham, beef, pork, lamb, there were also funny stuff on the skewer like pineapple and bread. It cost $37++ per person. Overall I rate it 6.5/10.

Day before RD

Yesterday morning was on with Alice, Jessie and Regine. It was a so much better one than the day before however we still cant wait to go home!
Nice colour rose hor? It's from patient's fruit basket.

Dinner was at golden mile. This steam seabass is GOOD!!!!!! It was very spicy but tasty! I wanted to finish the gravy but it was too spicy, wasted leh!
We had pandan leaves chicken (x4), prawn cakes (x4) and also seafood tom yam soup.

All in all, cost only $58. Uhmmmmmmm great dinner!

Lucky... not so lucky after all...

Had lunch with dad before work. We had kampong chicken at Tiong Bahru. It was a great lunch! Half a chicken with rice cost only $12.
I stepped into my ICU and the first sentence I heard was "Hey, this afternoon 3 staff!"..... What's new? Nothing new.
We took over 5 patients and 3 coming in soon. I was very lucky, out of the 3, one acute patient supposed to come in went to the other ICU instead. Another one supposed to do cardioversion was cancelled. Lastly the last patient (post ESI) does not need to come in.
Fortunately I was not so lucky after all. Later in the evening, we took in 3 other patients. 1 elective PTCA needs isolation (not our case actually), 1 post op bleeding (also not our case, it's a lodger) the last one was STEMI (our case but refused intervention).
The three of us work and work and work....... it was torturing. Imagine the initially 3 patients came in with this additional 3 patients, there will be a total of 6 patients for us to admit. Maybe I will pretend to throw fits so that I can get out of the workplace!
It has been like this so often, cant someone think of a solution? Each shift is of minimal staff and out of this minimal they are taking staff away from us. Very tired and sick of this.

Luckily I cooked "everything mix" to bring to work and this was my dinner. I just came home and had a bowl of soup uhmmmmm winter melon with dried scallops. It's nice to have a bowl of hot soup after a tiring day at work.

I am a comma???

You Are a Comma

You are open minded and extremely optimistic.

You enjoy almost all facets of life. You can find the good in almost anything.

You keep yourself busy with tons of friends, activities, and interests.

You find it hard to turn down an opportunity, even if you are pressed for time.

Your friends find you fascinating, charming, and easy to talk to.

(But with so many competing interests, you friends do feel like you hardly have time for them.)

You excel in: Inspiring people

You get along best with: The Question Mark

Yesterday went dinner with Silly boy's family to celebrate his sister's birthday. We went Crystal Jade Palace at Takashimaya. The place looks quite classy but I find the set dinner a little costly. Peking duck, sharks' fin soup, vegetables with mushrooms, steamed soon hock and a fried bee hoon with the left over duck meat of the peking duck (cost $288+++). I think it came up to $300plus.
Today I was on afternoon, was surprised to see we left with 3 patients. The very sick patient died and another difficult one was transferred to another ICU. We managed the ICU with 3 staff again because one was deployed to another station to cover the staff who took MC. Sigh......... No comments, better dont anyhow blog about my comments. "Walls got ears"!

This canteen is closing after today........ it has been serving the staff in the hospital for the past 20 years.........

Most like the drinks stall very much but my favourite was the prawn chor bee hoon dry (no oil, no shallots, with chilli tomato sauce)! Uhmmm can never get to eat it again.....

My other favourite was the tom yam chor bee hoon but it was sold out this evening, so I had the ban mee for one last time...... :( *SAD*

Great dinner

Had a great dinner with Silly boy and mum at one of the restaurant in Geylang. It's operated by one of my long distance relative. Not long ago this restaurant was advertised on the papers. Try it out! GOOD!
Dry noodles with fishballs and prawns and "dan dan noodles". These two noodles taste extremely good!!!!!

Stirred fried chicken and long beans...

Dessert is the best! I dont know what is it but nice!
This restaurant is located at 666 Geylang Road S389594 (between lorong 40 and lorong 42) named "Cai Gen Xiang Northern Seafood Tavern"
