Thursday ~ Day 26 in DC

What a nice morning..... it's THURSDAY! YEAH!
My poor bag, got to squeeze into the small locker!

In 4NE, the general ward the whole shift..... uhmm fortunately the staff that I followed was very nice! At least someone to keep talking to me heeeeee and it's much easier to ask Q and learn when the person is friendly and helpful.

It's 10am finally and I went to the cafeteria to buy my breakfast! Nothing much to eat in the morning, the usual "continental breakfast' laying on the trays for you to scoop as much as you want (that applies to mash potatoes, fried potatoes, scramble eggs) to fill up the box! I couldnt eat that much because... it's too dry for me. No sauce, no gravy..... I miss my favourite SG prawn chor bee hoon dry no oil, no fried onions, chilli tomato sauce in our houseman's canteen!!!!!!!!!!! This breakfast cost me USD3.90.

I have been walking around throughout the shift, nothing very exciting though. I get my favourite cup soup for lunch! OH NO!!!!! Thought I shouldnt take it everyday?!!?!?!?!?!?!?! It is really nice to have something hot when the weather is cold heeeee

Dinner tonight was BIG turkey drumstick with green bean casserole. It looks small in the picture but it is really a very big one!

Day 26 in DC ~ Wednesday

I went to the MI ward today and they gave me a locker. I thought there is other part of the locker but it is just this small narrow opening (so small that my head also cannot go in! Look at the picture, my face was like "HOW UH???"). In the end, I have to take out everything in the bag in order to fold it and put everything in! *rolled eyes*!

Uhmmm but at least they have a locker room.....

EHHH wait a minute! What is this place??????!?!?!?!?!?

Hahaha yeah, the ward is AHEM... BORED! I went over to the cath lab instead because Dr Bernado is doing a endovascular AAA case! WOW! Heee actually I knew it yesterday from the team and they told me to come here instead of staying in the ward hahahaha so I came and it was really interesting! Luckily I came to watch it!

It started from 9am and I was extremely hungry towards 12noon. I went out to take my "breakfast"... I took a bagel and crossiant with spread cheese from breakfast counter this morning and I went down to the cafeteria to buy the daily soup! HEeeee yeah, I mentioned not to drink everyday but just cannot resist it!

I went back to "show up" in the ward at 2pm, actually they were still doing stitching in the cath lab. The team told me to request to go back cath lab again for the next week because more things to see, better than stay in the general ward! HAhahaaha these people (RN Dely, RN Raoul, Dr Bernado, Technicians Levonie, Patel and Nelson... and some others... ) are so funny! I really enjoyed in the cath lab, they are so nice!

Every Wed when I step into the house, it always very neat and tidy... Maria always tidy up and clean everything up for me... so nice of her but I never see her in person before haha she always just leave a note of the list of things she did and write her name "Maria".

My dinner ~ mee goreng, stirred fried catfish with spring onions and ginger and scallops with baby brocolli.... good!

Day 25 in DC

Nice weather today, not too warm or cold....

Was still in cath lab, I had my, brunch at 11am... it was spicy hot soup with seafood, vegetables and chicken wings.


This was atherotectomy... look at the plaques............. eeeeeeeee

Didnt take much pictures today because I had sore throat! Felt lethargic the whole day... YAWN!

Cath lab ~ day 23 Monday in DC

It's Monday again... and today I was attached to the cath lab. It was a very big one with 11 labs with a big recovery area. The staff in the cath lab are so pleasant and friendly, I felt so welcome! Heeee well, I think it is definately a very nice place to work!

Break time! I went to the cafeteria to get a cup of soup, uhm very nice but I dont think I should drink it everyday! Very fattening and salty hahahaha then I ate the leftover pretzel stix that I brought and a crossiant from this morning breakfast counter.

YUMMY! My dinner! It was angel hair stirred fried with seafood and brussel spouts (oriental style) heeeeee GOOD AH!

Pentagon City ~ day 23 in DC

Shopping at Pentagon City today!

This is a very BIG MALL! I saw "Santa Clause!" heeeee I tempted to take a picture with him but I didnt check how much is it.


My lunch was sandwich from Subway! It's actually silly boy's favourite, not mine heeee I "helped" him to eat because that time when he was here he didnt have a chance to have it.


My snack ~ pretzel stix! Very nice!!!!!!

Bought quite a lot of things today heeeeee.... *Happy*
Reached home at 530pm then remembered I still have a fish in the fridge! I boiled it in the oven with some zucchini and mushrooms.

Not bad leh... it taste good because of the chopped garlic!
