Cafe brio's

Went to the ward this afternoon to pick up some of my colleagues for dinner then I saw Endean in the ICU. Endean is a very polite and hardworking doctor and someone with almost no temper!!! Its a pity that he is leaving us! Fortuantely able to catch him to take a picture with us on his last day! ;)

Dinner was at Cafe brio's in Grand copthorne. Each spent only $25 because of the one for one offer!!!

Dylan's birthday

It was Dylan's birthday yesterday however there wasnt much of our friends available to celebrate for him because its a Monday. Therefore a very small group of 3 of us went out for dinner at Orchard Sakura. Needless to say, we over ate again.

We went Ice cold beer after dinner but didnt manage to drink a lot. The 3 of us was so bloated from the dinner so each of us only drank about 2 bottles of beer.
I am still feeling bloated now.............. BURP!

Dinner

Left was the menu for our muslim colleagues and right was for us.

Went for a "Thank You" dinner at Padang in one of the chinese restaurant. There was a total of 6 of us inclusive of my boss. The dishes were slightly above average, I preferred the fish, prawns and the roasted chicken. The sliced abalone with beancurd sticks and vegetables was also not too bad and that was my boss favourite. Basically I was there just to eat ;) I always have interest in trying out food!!!

After dinner, I went over to Balaclava. Each time I go there, I will definately meet one or two of my friends. The last time was Charlene and last night was Charlotte. Get to know a couple of friends last night however the place was too noisy, I couldnt get most of their names and some I have forgotten heeeeeeee

Work

Someone sent a patient a basket of fruits and 3 stalks of rose. The roses are beautiful, I like the colour.

We had a peaceful evening at work, the only hassle was the smell in our ICU! Chuan Kah even brought out a fan to "blow away" the smell from the nurses' counter. The smell was caused by the malena stool of a patient and it was so terrible that whoever stepped in would enquired about the smell. We used up the entire air freshener in the evening.
Uhmm but I pity the patient, he was with us for quite some time but I dont think he can make it......

These few days

My night shift ended last Sunday morning, it was a very peaceful one with our registrar HK. He even helped me to attend to a very fussy patient throughout the night, thanks to him!

Monday I was on morning shift. The live course started on Sunday morning till Wednesday. Walla, Chuan Kah, Alice and myself rushed down to attend the live course after our morning duty. Uhmmmmm then.... then... I think I went home to prepare dinner and slept early.


Tuesday.... Oh, was my off day so officially went for the live course. Lunch time I had porridge buffet with 6 of my colleagues, not bad but I think I ate too much of the salty stuff so ended up very thirsty!
Thereafter, I went shopping with Nathan. In fact was loitering around Raffles city, Bugis village and Bugis junction. We knew Jasmine and Lee Lian were at Bugis junction doing their hair so we went over to take a look at their new hairdo. Jasmine's new hair color is nice, better than the one I dyed for her years ago hahahahahaha Nathan and I had tea while Jasmine and Lee Lian had their dinner at Sakae. We talked about everything lah..... Women talk a lot when they get together.
Nathan and I then met Alvin for steamboat behind Bugis junction. The steamboat was only so so, maybe I was not hungry. "Thanks Nathan for buying me the dinner, next time I bring you to a "secret place" for lunch ok???" I planned already ;)

Sitilok joined us just before we finished our dinner. He didnt want to eat because going on diet! After dinner Sitilok and I went karaoke while Nathan and Alvin went home to rest. Sitilok, Ah Sor (also got new hairdo!) and myself drank around 20 over bottles of beer! That was even more fattening! (by the way, today I went for training, I was told that 1g of alcohol= 7 calories!!!!) WAHHHHHhhhhhhhh how many grams we drank in total uh????????????

Today attended a training lor..... together with Allen. I was quite alert in the morning though I slept late last night. There were almost 50 participants in the class. It was a long day for me, and was rather draggy. Towards 3pm, my mind started to wonder.....
I supposed that's about all, I cannot really remember what I have done for the past few days.... guess its time to ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

Just finished my second night...... The moment I stepped into the ICU yesterday, I saw case notes all over the nurses' counter, I knew that the afternoon staff must be busy. There was a collapsed case from the general ward at 8pm and the patient is very sick. She is intubated and gasping, restless, in very fast AF during the time when I sent her down for procedure. Less than half an hour I was called to fetch the patient back. At the same time I received a call from A&E, we got an intubated APO patient admitting to the ICU.... SIEN.... I quickly went down to fetch my patient before the A&E case arrive. IABP was inserted and I had a hard time pushing the patient back to the ICU. I supposed its time to oil those sickening wheels of the bed and the IABP because the wheels are not steering!!!!!!! It was a VERY good exercise to send and fetch this patient, probably I have lost some weight!!!
When I was back to the ICU, the intubated patient from A&E arrived as well! GOSH.... my hands and legs were overworked but I have no time to rest. Roslinda was hungry but no time to eat, Belinda and myself was worn out. While we thought we could take a seat after the two patients, there came another call from our registrar! He told me that one of the patient in ICA needed intubation! ARGGGHHHHHhhhhh SO... we started working again..... WORK AND WORK AND WORK..... Finally, we managed to rest on the chair at 4am! Imagine how tired our four limbs were from 9pm to 4am! Belinda was so tired that she totally cant hear me, cant hear everything (hahahahahahaha as usual). Roslinda's hair was so messy yet she just cant stop walking around doing stuff! While me, Belinda told me that my dark circles are very obvious! OH NO....... I took a picture and check it out, really leh.... SIGH....
Ok, me very tired and super sleepy already, going to bed! ZZZZZZzzzzzz

MOS

Yeah yeah, finally after so many months we were back in MOS last night! The ladies night was crowded, be it in the Smoove room or the Main arena. The music was good, I was there from 11pm to 315am. It was a fun night with the gals and the friends of theirs! I enjoyed!

YUMMY.....

This afternoon brought my dad, auntie and uncle for lunch at Jurong Hilltop restaurant. We had western food then followed by mango pudding for dessert. Thereafter we went to visit my old old grandfather. He is still healthy and alert however he talks really slow... I wanted to yawn during our conversation but I cant do that right???!!!
We went home around 5plus and I decided to cook dinner tonight. Dad and I went to a supermarket and grabbed those stuff that I wanted to cook.

The frog legs were fresh and the cockles were dipped in my specially created sauce. Not too bad heeeeeeeeee VERY FULL NOW........

The four of us took a picture together while packing the store room yesterday. Havent been taking picture together for quite some time............. Lovely ;)

The dinner was held at Ritz-Carlton... The roses in the ballroom were beautiful, the sharks' fin was superb and the bottle of wine (year 1973) taste so fine!

This wedding dinner was kind of an "exposure" for me, it was a great experience heeeeeee I enjoyed!

Sunday at work

This afternoon was on with Choon chai, Mirana and Allen. We did not admit any patients, the shift was a very peaceful one. These pictures was taken while I took over a patient from "Walla Watat Walli Wati".... (such a long name)! Uhmm everyone is doing well.....
