7th Nov~ Joshua's birthday!
Supposed to go for elective C section on the 11th but baby Joshua decided to come out early! The evening after my appt, I had quite bad backache. About 1plus I was still not able to sleep due to the backache. I toss and turn the whole night then suddenly I felt something "leaking"! Oh gosh! I suspected 100% was the water bag burst because it's "something flowing out"!!! I woke Silly hubby up (remember he was supposed to go to work but luckily he does not need to!) and he was so panic haha he woke pa up as well and we reached the hospital within 20mins (about 0150hrs).
I was sent to the delivery room and put on to the CTG. The contraction was not that bad but it get worst during the end. The examintations done on me was killing me (because of my low pain threshold) esp the VE! They attempted 3 times just to confirm whether my water bag really burst coz it seems more like discharges than water. My tears flowed like nobody business and sweat like mad, the backache was so severe as though I was in labour. At that moment, I was glad that I opted C section haha... anyway, Dr Tan came in the morning at about 7plus and told me that he will push me in at 10am. I told him I cannot wait already, the backache was quite bad (the contraction was tolerable lah but I was afraid that I have to go for normal delivery). In the end, he managed to slot me in at 845am.
Of course I was very tensed. They fixed on the monitoring leads then asked me to turn to my left lateral and they started giving me the epidural. It was again another tortured for me. I couldnt cooperate well but luckily Dr Tan was very supportive. They took about 3mins to complete giving me the epidural then they started the procedure. I can feel people touching my abdominal and some tension but no pain at all and both the lower limbs were numb. The severe pain came when Dr Tan told the team that he needed a push. One of the surgeon gave a push from the chest towards the abdominal and that was an unexpected pain that caused me to yell!!! I dont know how to describe, it's a pain score of 10!!!!!!!!
Finally after two painful push, baby Joshua was out! I teared because of the push not because I saw Joshua hahhahaa I only remember they showed me a "red crying baby", didnt really take a close look at him.
Baby Joshua was being pushed out to show his daddy and I was in the recovery area for half an hour before I was pushed back to the ward.
"Hello, I am the few hours old baby Joshua and the next one was day 1 baby Joshua!"
"Daddy fed me in the hospital coz mummy was in great pain on the first and second POD! Daddy said I looked like him heeeee"

Was back home on the 10th currently on confinement at my parent's in law place. Life was miserable because I am not allow to wash my hair! I was so depressed in the hospital till I even cried over it. Silly hubby then bought me the "no rinse" body wash and shampoo. I have been using it these few days, at least the hair is slightly better. I guess the day when I can have shower is the day where I bathe for the longest hour in my life!!!!!!! The confinement food and drinks make me sweat and at the same time, the breasts are engorged, I felt so miserable. Thought the nightmare was over but actually it just started! Luckily everyone has been supportive especially my aunties, uncles and cousins and also not forgetting my Silly hubby, papa and parents in law. I miss papa but what to do, have to tahan for the month. Silly hubby promised me that he will send papa here to visit me whenever possible... sigh... I hope the month end soon!

Congratulations! Take good care and yes, the "wind" thingy during confinement is no kidding matter. My Sis insisted bathing during confinement and ends up aching here and there during cold/rainy days. Cheers!! :-)
