IT IS FRIDAY AGAIN!!!! ~ DAY 21

It was a great morning because it is FRIDAY again! Remember I on the air con while I was indoor yesterday?????????? Today the weather was freaky cold!!!!! I just checked the weather channel, guess what? This morning was 6 degrees and tonight can go as low as -12!!!!!! However doesnt mean it will snow...

Spent the morning in the SICU observed the care on LVAD patients.

In the afternoon, the heart failure specialist informed me that there will be an open heart surgery in the theatre, she asked me if I am interested to observe it. Well, nothing much in SICU so I followed her. I seen that during my school days but almost forgotten, only remembered how the surgeon saw the ribs open. (it was quite yucky)
The patient I saw today is a very non compliant patient, the surgeon suspected infection over at the LVAD site hence they wanted to open up to find out the source. The surgery started from 1330hrs and I was standing not far. The surgeon first started to cut through the patient's flesh and out of a sudden a lot of blood spurt out! I got a shocked hahahahaha didnt expect the blood to spurt all the way up almost reaching the ceiling! Well, get shocked also must stay cool *PRETEND* haha then continued to watch. Look at the suction bottles, those were the patient's blood mixed with pus that they found around the chest! EEEEEeeeeeeee..... actually I felt gross! Ahem, no meat and tomato juice for today! The chest were then left open and the patient was being sent back to SICU... the surgery ends at 320pm! Just nice, time for me to go home!

Yeah yeah, 330pm again!!!!! It's WEEKEND!

I started to prepare my dinner the moment I stepped into the house. I was so hungry! It was only 430pm but then I dont care!!!!!!
Today I had pasta (penne and chicken tortelloni) mixed with spinach cream and a plate of "mixed leftovers" hahahaha (sausages, brussel sprouts, smoked oysters and chopped pasley)... This is what people do after "thanksgiving" mah, they usually have a lot of leftovers and will think of ways to cook them! I mixed them all up easier mah!
