Work....

Initially this afternoon was quite all right, we took over 4 patients from the morning staff and we have time to munch some tibits, chit chat and I even posed pictures for Nathan's QC project. I acted as the doctor and Mirana as the nurse. The pictures taken was so funny that we just cant stop laughing at it.
I thought it would be 4 patients throughout the shift but took in a dialysis patient and halfway through she developed chest pain hence dialysis terminated. Thoughout the shift, its either dialysis machine clotted or vascular catheter not flowing well! So irritating! Around 4plus, a 160kg patient was transfered in from other ward to the ICU for BIPAP and I was assigned to nurse the patient. He was SO HUGE, SO BIG, so difficult to manage! (like what Aisha said, his arm is like our thigh!)Be it changing him, turning him, putting lines on him, everything we do on him needed so much effort and strength! I was really tired after nursing him, end of the day he wet the bed and needed 4 of us to change the bedsheet. His PCO2 was reaching 100 hence he became so confused and violent, we really had a very hard time with him!
I was looking forward to the supper with Nathan and Alvin. I drove off at 2210hrs to meet them at Jackson. They ordered my favourite frog legs but then I wasnt contented with the portion left for me so I ordered another portion for myself! Yeah, didnt have my dinner earlier on.
We went over to drinkerz and I sensed that I wont be able to stay long. True enough, my dad called me at 2320hrs. I finished off my beer and I went home.
Somehow I didnt enjoy my supper and drinking session due to uhmm some issues but I hope tomorrow is a better day!
