My patient...

Took cough mixture... no, no, poured cough mixture down my throat last night and have a good rest till this morning. I woke up automatically at 6plus and went to work. Work was ok this morning, "someone" did not find fault with us which was unusual on a Tuesday morning.
I was told by "someone" to attend to one of the end staged heart failure patient at the other station. I ever mentioned in one of my post about this patient. She is the nice patient who noticed we did not take our dinner hence wanted to order pizza for us. She is the one who touched and held my hands during my night shift and said "Oh God, your hands are so cold, do you have a sweater? This is not enough! Poor girl....". We both love to eat, during the night, we discussed about the good food in town and our favourite dishes.....
When I saw her this morning, I really pity her and felt sorry that she is suffering so much. She told us "let me go, let me go...." then we have to coax her to go back to the bed to rest and she felt breathless with just a little bit of exertion. I just dont know what to say to her because I am not very good at words. What I did was to satisfy her needs, put on warm blanket for her then "someone" told me to buy fresh oranges to make fresh juice for her, and I did.
SIGH... it is really very hurt to see someone suffer and detoriates day by day..........
