BUSY AHHHHHHHHHH
My 9th day of work this afternoon was on with Nathan, Mirana & Marilyn. We have only 8 beds but we took almost 11 patients in total! We took in dialysis and cardioversion patients then after the procedure we vacate the room and took in other patients! It was really crazy!!! No time for dinner and no time to pee!!!!!!
The most irritating part was dealing with the relatives! Nathan patient's relatives doesnt seems to understand what we said. We told them not to go into the isolation room so often as that will increase the infection rate of the patient~ they continued to go in. We told them only allow two visitors at a time~ they came in by GROUPS. We told them not to crowd along the way~ they brought more people in to crowd around. The most absurd thing was one of the relatives is a nurse manager yet she cannot understand why were we restricting them!
Mirana patient's relatives was the well known boy who likes to block our way! He is the son of Mirana's patient and he likes to do whatever we dont allow him to do. Like we always tell him not to walk around the ICU because other patients will not like people to look at them but he will answer "Never mind, I like to walk around!" Whenever we asked him to wait outside the ICU as we need to change his dad which will take quite some time, he will reply "Never mind I want to wait here." (You dont mind I mind lor!!! YOU ARE BLOCKING THE WAY LOR!)
My patient's relatives were drama. They were anxious over everything despite explained to them many many many times. In the end I chased them out, I told them "If you are so upset seeing her like this then can you please stay outside??? We know how to take care of her!" Then the daughter of the patient squat down and cry. HAIIIIIIIII.............. (WAH LAU!)
WHY uh? Why like that uh???? The ICU this afternoon was like a... let me think... like a mini balaclava! SOOOOoooooooo crowded to the extend that we have to call the security to control the visitors! (Interested can read what Nathan says)
Please leh, tomorrow dont be like this leh... I cannot take it already!!!!!!!!!!
