food fair at suntec!
today was mummy's off day thought she will be at home whole day to play with phie phie but she said she wanted to go food fair at suntec! phie phie wanted to go with mummy but she again said its very crowded!!!! HUMPH! after that she said heavy rain and i may catch a cold if i go out!!!!!?! HUMPH HUMPH! mummy mummy tells me what happened today???
mummy says:
today was bored at home therefore asked elaine to go to the food fair at suntec. was very crowded when we reached there at 4plus. saw quite a long queue for small cups of milo thought that it was free but then it is charged at 50cents each. a lot of people queue for free tasting of food and people were like squeezing and pushing in to get free food. we were not like that of course, we only managed to tried one mee-sua, ended up we paid for all the food!
firstly we bought a cod-fish otar at $1 each, it was very tasty! the cod-fish was a bit chewy and tasted a little like crab! after that followed by 2 bowls of cod-fish sharks fin at $2 each. we were wondering how come cod-fish was used in most of the food at the fair maybe....ok no comments ahem... we then moved to one corner and enjoy our food and started our stupid jokes again... (phie phie: yeah mummy and auntie elaine always got stupid silly topics and they will laugh at their own jokes!) oh not forgetting to mention that there is tap and sink for people to wash hand!!! ehh i felt quite considerate because people like... ok SOMEONE made her hands very oily after eating OTAR.....
we went forward and saw bbq octopus and its our favourite! we bought 1 stick of optopus, 1 stick of black pepper chicken and 1 stick bbq chicken for $2.50. the optopus was the best, the other 2 was quite normal. futher down, there was this stall which sells fried vegetable and crabstick patty, we bought both at total $2.50! we moved on and saw big fat fish ball (phie phie: i like bish ball!!!), we thought we saw seafood fishball so we ordered but quite disappointed because it was normal fu-chou fishball with msg soup ($2). we found a table to rest our legs and enjoyed the food and meanwhile i went to queue for the "ice monster", seems like it is very famous in Taiwan. queue for almost ten minutes and got the mango sherbet for $4.50. i went back to our table and continued our food and saw people eating "hot spicy fishball with beancurd". we were quite full by then but we were both greedy and wanted to try out the food. again we went to buy the hot spicy fishball with beancurd plus oyster vermicilli ($2 each)!!! (VERY GREEDY) the hot spicy fishball with beancurd was nice because it was soaked with vegetables but then the oyster vermicilli was below our standard!!!! the oyster.... beyond words can describe...
that was the last food that go down to our stomach! elaine said we should buy a drink to "flush" down the food from the throat! hahaha... then we saw sugercane juice ($1.50). from our past experiences, we used to over eat and over drink!!! we thought we repeated our mistake by over eating so we should not over drink so we decided to share the drink! FORTUNATELY we bought only one sugarcane juice because it was VERY VERY SWEET!!!!!!!! we didnt really finish it and it made us even more thirsty! ended up we left the place and went macdonalds to buy 2 cups of hot tea! people, we spent about $23 at the food fair!!!!! however, we do enjoy because we were able to try out quite a bit of food!
we left the fair at about 7pm and went macdonalds to have a drink then we went to shop for "dinner" clothes on 1st april! we went home empty handed though, we planned to go bugis street tomorrow to get clothes instead because the things there are nice and cheap! while we were walking around i saw someone!!!!!! he is none other than my idol Aaron Kwok (on a billboard i meant! he is the ambassador of longines!) i took a picture of him, not with him okay, too embarassing for a person of my age to do that!
we went home at about 9plus, while driving home suddenly we craved for "cockles"! (seafood is our favourite) yeah we were full but we are GREEDY, remember, we always over eat!!!... so steered the wheels to new CHOMP CHOMP and we bought our favourite bbq chicken wings (on a disposable plate) from the back stall and walked to the front stall for cockles! guess what???!! NO MORE cockles! of course we wouldnt give up! brought the chicken wings (ON A PLATE) walked all the way to the old chomp chomp for cockles! guess what????!!!! of course cockles available! hehe we enjoyed the chicken wings and cockles happily (eat, eat, eat! someone was very messy again fortunately tap and sink available!!!), very satisfying! finally we went home at 10plus!
yeah, i love to eat! therefore, i had an enjoyable day today!!!!!!!!!!
phie phie fell asleep because my story too long today hehe!
